I’m of such a vintage that I was alive in the 1950s (at least at the very end of that decade), so this design is close to my heart. And I particularly resonate with the diner aspect, because food just seems to taste better when you eat it in a silver metal tube with a long counter and red plastic seats! I’m not quite old enough to have actually eaten in a real 1950s diner but reinventions of them were quite the rage during the nostalgia boom when I was growing up in Los Angeles in the 1970s. I ate many a greasy hamburger, washed down by vanilla milkshakes.
This 5″ x 7″ horizontal template can be used for birthdays, anniversaries, girls or guys night out, retirement parties, and of course, reunions. I hope you find it useful!

Wow – I love these!! You could do a whole theme around the 50’s and use these invitations. Great idea for a birthday party for someone turning 50!
Thanks, Joanne!
I am also of the vintage where I ate in many a silver tube diner. Even now, in NJ, which is practically the home of the vintage diner, we have several where I eat regularly and drink in the nostalgia, so these great retro invites are special to me.
I was curious about some of the other links in this post, to Strawberry Field and Floral Party invites, but the links were broken, You may want to check that out.
Thanks so much for your comment, Susan, and for letting me know about the broken links. For some reason each link had the word “category” inserted into them. I have no idea where that came from! Oh well, they’re fixed now.
I’m a big vintage fan so I LOVE these. Last year I went to a birthday party at a diner and it was great! We had the jukebox going and everyone had a dance.
50’s themed parties are so fun! What a great idea!
Thanks, Mindy!
would like to use for my husband 70th birthday
