I’m a bit of a fanatic about Victorian and vintage images, especially when they involve flowers, so I just love this blank 5″ x 7″ printable vintage invitation template. It has plenty of colorful Victorian flower images, plus a blue butterfly and a very graceful magical fairy. There are also very subtle ivory tone-on-tone stripes in the background, which provide a neutral pattern that unifies all that rich color.

This design can be used for birthdays, anniversaries, bridal showers and engagement parties, bon voyage and retirement parties and so on, but because it’s blank, it could also be used to make excellent vintage wedding or commitment ceremony invitations. (I also designed another Victorian-inspired vintage wedding invitation, which is posted on this blog.) You could also fold it in half and print on the inside to use it as a folding thank you or response card, or you could reduce it for use as table place cards.

This free square format butterfly invitation has a blue striped background, and is filled with a riot of colorful flowers and seven butterflies that came to visit them. I left the variety of party out of the text when I wrote the heading, so it only reads, “You’re invited to a party!” That makes the invitation suitable for birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, garden parties, housewarmings and many other occasions.

This whimsical Teddy bear tea party invitation template features sweet little Lilly and her Teddy bear, which are creations of illustrator Lisa Craig-Mullins. Surrounded by pink polka dots and a swirly border, Lilly is dressed in Mary Jane shoes and a party dress with a bow in her hair. She and her Teddy bear are smilingly asking that you attend her tea party. The mauve, pink brown and white color scheme — not to mention the very cute illustration — make this a wonderful tea party invitation for little girls. It might even work for big girls who are still young enough at heart to throw Teddy bear tea parties!

This free printable party invitation template is called Strawberry Fields, for obvious reasons. I got in the mood for spring, so I used GrannyArt’s beautiful strawberry plant illustrations to create a wreath realistic enough to attract two pretty digital butterflies.

I designed this invitation to be the same size as my collection of A2 (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) birthday party invitations, but since there’s nothing that specifically mentions birthdays, you can use this invitations for many other purposes: an engagement, anniversary, retirement, bon voyage or summer garden party, or any number of other occasions.

This free printable tea party invitation isn’t an actual reproduction of a Victorian design; but it looks like it could be one. I love vintage art, so designing this invitation was a real pleasure. It incorporates a vintage rose background, delicate swirls and a rose-bedecked teapot, all in girly pink, all of which are right up my alley. I’m guessing that this particular invitation wouldn’t be sent to too many men, but I think all my fellow female tea-drinkers, vintage enthusiasts and lovers-of-everything-pink will like it.
