This pool party template is admittedly a little odd-looking. But I thought it would be fun to experiment with something that might appeal to people who want a design that’s little less ordinary for their summer (and maybe even winter) pool parties.

The design reminds me of Iridium, a restaurant that used to be in Manhattan many years ago. I believe it also was the site of one of Monica’s chef jobs in Friends. It was the coolest restaurant. Everything looked like it was dripping or somehow askew, sometimes even including including the food. It embraced the architectural movement, a la one of my favorite Manhattan restaurants, Gotham Bar & Grill. So the food was stacked up high in odd combinations. Pure fun! Anyway, the drippiness of this invitation template design is an homage to both those restaurants and the wonderful food I ate there.

If you want to mail these invites, you can print them in these standard size envelopes: 5″ x 7″ (A7) or 3 1/2″ x 4 7/8″ (A4).  You can find the instructions for creating those sizes (or any other size, if you’ll be handing them out) by visiting my free printable beach party invite designs hub or clicking the button below. There are also a lot of other summer-related designs on that page.

Free cocktail party announcement art

This free cocktail party design is a little sassy, while still being classy. The cute illustration of a woman holding a brightly colored martini was created by Kendall Scoboria, and I think it’s really stunning. The illustration — plus the yellow polka dot and black background and the hot pink “Cocktail Party!” heading — really make this invitation design pop. I hope you’ll find the design useful for cocktail parties year-round, and maybe even for the holidays. The fact that the woman is wearing a little (very little!) black dress and pearls means you can use this for anything from an informal soiree to a formal cocktail party.

If you want a design that’s less about cocktails than about partying in general, please visit my free printable party invitation designs hub. It has some generic square designs that can also be used for a cocktail party, plus instructions for making this format. Strawberry Fields Party Announcement

This free printable template is called Strawberry Fields, for obvious reasons. I got in the mood for spring, so I used GrannyArt’s beautiful strawberry plant illustrations to create a wreath realistic enough to attract two pretty digital butterflies.

I designed this artwork to be the same size as my collection of A2 (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) birthday party invitations, but since there’s nothing that specifically mentions birthdays, you can use this design for many other purposes: an engagement, anniversary, retirement, bon voyage or summer garden party, or any number of other occasions.

If this art isn’t your cup of tea, feel free to check out my other strawberry and ladybug design, which has a little more country feel to it. You can also visit my birthday party invitations hub, where you’ll find a number of other designs for adults and kids. Like this one, many of those designs don’t specifically mention birthdays, so they’re good all-around invites. You can go to the hub by clicking the link in the previous sentence or the button below.
