I’m a bit of a fanatic about Victorian and vintage images, especially when they involve flowers, so I just love this blank 5″ x 7″ printable vintage invitation template. It has plenty of colorful Victorian flower images, plus a blue butterfly and a very graceful magical fairy. There are also very subtle ivory tone-on-tone stripes in the background, which provide a neutral pattern that unifies all that rich color.

This design can be used for birthdays, anniversaries, bridal showers and engagement parties, bon voyage and retirement parties and so on, but because it’s blank, it could also be used to make excellent vintage wedding or commitment ceremony invitations. (I also designed another Victorian-inspired vintage wedding invitation, which is posted on this blog.) You could also fold it in half and print on the inside to use it as a folding thank you or response card, or you could reduce it for use as table place cards.

The dappled sunshine and cheerful flowers will inspire you to start planning your next outdoor party and with any luck, get you out of the winter doldrums.

You can use this summer theme invitation template for nearly any kind of party: anniversary, housewarming, retirement, garden, birthday, engagement or even weddings and commitment ceremonies. Because it’s a blank template, you can also use it printed at a smaller size for place cards or at full size for thank you cards, after the party. This free printable template may be just what you need if you’ve been looking for ladybug invitations. Ladybugs seem to be very popular these days, because they’re cute and have a universal appeal. You have to be a real meanie to not like a ladybug, at least the sweet cartoon variety in this invitation design.

This invite has a slightly country feel that incorporates strawberries, flowers, polka dots and a soft green gingham check in with the ladybugs, and adds just a little bit of natural rope to the border to give it a rustic look. The design is sophisticated enough for adults, but it’s also whimsical enough to use for a child’s birthday party. The text on the invitation doesn’t indicate the occasion, though, so it could also be used for bridal showers, and engagement, anniversary, summer garden or even retirement parties.

This free A7 or A4 pink polka dot party invitation template is definitely girly — but that’s just the way I roll. It has several shades of subtle pink and magenta, and a spray of flowers and baby’s breath, and, of course, pink polka dots. It’s the perfect invitation for a woman’s or girl’s birthday party, a bridal shower, an engagement or anniversary party, a summer get-together or even just a hen party!

When I was a little girl, I was so girly that I wouldn’t wear sweatshirts, because “that’s what boys wear.” So my mother bought me one covered in a flower print and another with a ballerina on it, just so she could keep me warm.  I’m no less girly girl today, although I will occasionally wear a sweatshirt! But as you can see, my taste in invitations reflects my early leanings and is decidedly toward the feminine.
